Raymond Tallis on the overreach of neuroscience

Tallis has some really interesting perspectives as described by this piece. I tend to agree with him that much of neuroscience and evolutionary psychology is too simplistic and attempts to explain rather complex emotional experiences in ways that insult the subtlety of these experiences. But to reject wholly the Darwinian perspective entirely is (not surprisingly) too much for me. Are we allowed to revisit Darwinian explanations once (and if) we actually get a more clear sense of how the brain works?
